KS1 and KS2
At BIS primary school, we leverage the foundation established in the early years' foundation stage to provide students with a variety of opportunities to explore and develop their potentials.
Our primary students are prepared with skills and experiences to be 6C learners; they are Critical Thinkers, Communicators, Cooperative, Caring, Creative and Courageous so they are ready for the 21st-century challenges and empowered to lead in both their academic and career journeys.
The key learning approach in this stage is the value-based approach which focuses on developing international-minded individuals embracing our own values and cultural virtues. Moral education is an imperative aspect of the school day, where good behavior is always rewarded and students are taught to be responsible, respectful, socially- conscious and compassionate.

Key Stages 1
The focus of this stage is communication spoken language skills which include reading, writing, speaking, and listening where students are assessed on their grammar, punctuation, and spelling proficiency. Phonics is a key part of English language learning for this stage. Phonics lessons allow children to form and read words early on.
In addition to subjects as Maths, Science, History, and Geography besides an introduction to technology aspect adding future-based skills to their scope of knowledge at this age.
Key Stages 2
At this stage, children begin to be exposed to a global perspective of learning with focus and a broader spectrum of the curriculum in preparation for them to become confident individuals with sense of purpose; and they grow their environmental- consciousness and problem-solving skills.
